Sunshine Arts & Unity Matters will be welcoming families to Moorlands community hall. Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you can design and create your very own culture hanging, inspired by the vibrant colours, patterns, music, and traditions of festivals around the world.
Using upcycled materials, paper, collage materials, bright colours, and decorative embellishments, you’ll transform your ideas into a unique wearable creation that reflects your personality, heritage, and cultural identity.
Whether you’re inspired by culture, Carnival, traditional celebrations, nature, family memories, or your own imagination, there are no limits to what you can create!
Design it. Decorate it. Wear it with pride!

Lambeth Parent Forum – supporting families with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Whippersnappers will be presenting their SEND Tool Kit and sharing information about their Peer Support group for  Parents of children with SEND and promoting their “SEND the message” parent produced podcasts.

Stay & play sessions

Sessions are FREE and include sensory music, drumming and stories, messy play, parachute games and lots of fun!

Meet other parents and carers with children with SEND and access SEND information and support from our Whippesnappers Family Support Worker.

We will be having an awareness event at Stay & Play to promote the book My Blood, Your Blood, by Laura Henry-Allaine (author and creator of JoJo and Gran Gran). The story is based on a little girl and her dad who both have sickle cell and the impact of blood donations.

We have a limited number of FREE copies of the book to give away on the day.

As well as sharing the importance of blood donation, there will also be information stands on how to keep you and your family well and other helpful services in Lambeth.

Supported by the National Literacy Trust.

A relaxed, welcoming SEND stay and play for children aged 0–5 and their families. Children can explore, play and move at their own pace, while parents and carers connect with others who understand, and get friendly signposting and SEND support from our experienced team.
No diagnosis needed.

If you are a parent or carer of a child or young person with SEND (no diagnosis necessary) and are looking for a friendly welcoming space to connect with others going through the SEND journey, then come along to our FREE sessions. Please note, unfortunately there is no creche provided.

If you’re wondering if your child may have SEND and they are pre-school age, you can also bring them along to our free stay and play sessions at The Liz Atkinson Children’s Centre, 9 Mostyn Rd, SW9 6PH on Mondays 1.30pm-3pm.
