Whippersnappers
Whippersnappers provides workshops and performances in music, dance, art, and theatre to schools, nurseries, one o’clock clubs and community organisations. Our Choose what we do club is for pre-school children with SEND; children who are displaying early signs of additional needs (but are undiagnosed); and their family members.
Stockwell Parternship
We undertake a range of activities in our own neighbourhood, Stockwell, including: bilingual advocacy – Portuguese / Spanish / Italian; community engagement and events; a public forum about neighbourhood issues; and Thriving Stockwell – forging links with the health sector and local community to reduce health inequalities.
Healthy Living Platform
Healthy Living Platform is a charity. We offer activities which benefit the health and wellbeing of the whole community. We encourage healthy and sustainable lifestyles by giving practical training, education, information, and support on topics such as nutrition, cooking, food growing, health and wellbeing. We connect communities through food across Lambeth. Our food pantries are for pregnant mothers and Lambeth families with children aged 0-4 years. We offer weekly choices of healthy food for a pay-as-you-go modest cost.
East Africa Association
The East African Association (EAA) supports Somali families – particularly lone parents and those from disadvantaged backgrounds experiencing economic poverty, isolation, and mental health issues. We connect them to wider services and help them reach their full potential. Our projects improve community cohesion and build confidence. Our football-focused programme for children and young people shows that embedding sports and fitness at an early stage can encourage life-long healthy choices.
Unity Matters
Unity Matters is a small community-led organisation. We support parents and bring families together. We work with families from conception through to children starting school. We offer a range of workshops and activities: dad-focused work, what to expect when expecting, parenting advice, supporting early development, potty training & sleep workshop, parenting programmes, group story & rhyme time.
Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG)
Loughborough Junction Action Group (LJAG) is a group of volunteers who live or work in Loughborough Junction. We share a passion for our neighbourhood and want to see it thrive even through challenging times. Our projects are designed to bring people together to improve wellbeing and decrease isolation. Our projects bring opportunities to talk to neighbours, make new friends, learn new skills, and develop innovative ideas. At our community growing space Loughborough Farm, we produce food for volunteers, residents, and our community café and shop – The Platform Café. Children can visit the farm.
Besty's Inspirational Guidance (BiG)
BiG supports children & young people to enhance self-esteem, build resilience and acquire skills to achieve positive outcomes. We run motivational programmes that enable children to enhance physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing, including our ABC Football Programme for 4 – 6-year-olds. Our Dream BiG Young Parents’ Hub is a place where young parents can enjoy self-care and self-development activities to enhance their health and physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing, while their early years children are in the same building
Sunshine International Arts
Sunshine International Arts (S.i.A) is an artistic, educational and carnival production company. We are committed to inspiring the next generation through the art of carnival and traditional folklore. Our motto is Think Local. We run community outreach projects and workshops for school children and adults, including arts, crafts and culture workshops, creative dance, and holistic health workshops.
Brixton Wings
Brixton Wings is a volunteer-led parent organisation which provides early intervention programmes for children and young people. We run term-time programmes including group classes, music, drama, chess club, cycling, rowing, Maths and English booster sessions, and a full range of other activities.
