Grove Adventure Playground raises £35k through the Champions for Children fundraiser

Since its community-led reopening in 2018, Grove Adventure Playground has been providing safe, supervised, and inclusive play opportunities for local children. Earlier this summer, we raised an incredible £35k through the Champions for Children fundraiser to help fill a funding gap and ensure we can continue supporting over 200 children each year.

This funding means we will be able to fully reinstate our after-school clubs, including cookery, fitness, and art activities. With 80% of our young people eligible for free school meals, an important part of these sessions was also the healthy, home-cooked food we provided.

It also contributes to our SEN sessions and to trips both locally and further afield – including our annual seaside day, a highlight for many children who might not otherwise have access to such experiences.
