Artistic and cultural awareness in 0–3-year-olds plays a crucial role in development during
their formative years. Engaging in creative activities stimulates their cognitive, emotional and
physical growth, and exploring different art forms such as drawing, music, and painting helps
to develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It is important to support the
development of children’s artistic and cultural awareness and that children have regular
opportunities to engage with a wide variety of media as this supports their imagination,
emotional expression and communication, enabling them to articulate their feelings even
before they have the words to do so. Engaging in artistic activities strengthens bonds and
creates lasting memories for families. Art4Space provides a shared space for parents and
children to connect, relax, and enjoy the creation process. Additionally, it offers parents a
unique insight into their child’s inner world and developmental progress.
The arts are about creating beautiful things and nurturing well-rounded, confident and
expressive individuals from the very beginning of life.
